			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>I was speaking with a client the other day who owns an <a href="http://jbrownco.net/ecommerce-website-design.html">ecommerce website</a>.  We were discussing a method to update the shipping on each product on his site and how he could go in and update a few variables that would apply to all of his products.  I kept suggesting we do it a different way that would save a lot of time and would be more efficient for future use, but he kept misunderstanding what I was saying.  </p>
<p>Then it finally dawned on him, &#8220;oh, you can do that?&#8221;  The he said, &#8220;I always say, give a lazy man something to do and he&#8217;ll find the best way to do it.&#8221;.  </p>
<p>I took it as a compliment.  Sometimes lazy people work smarter.  </p>
<p>I don&#8217;t promote being lazy, but I loathe repetitive processes when there&#8217;s a function that can be used instead.  Of course this is where you have to be practical too.  Don&#8217;t spend 2hrs trying to figure out a process to automate 10 repetitions.  Be creative, be smart, be lazy, but be practical!</p>
